Nakon nešto ležernije ljetne atmosfere i manjeg broja aktivnosti, ZIP se vraća uobičajenom ritmu rada. U utorak, 4.10. u našem inkubatoru u Remetinečkoj cesti 7, u 17:30 bit će održano prvo predavanje iz novog “Master Class” ciklusa.
Master Class je naš projekt školovanja, u sklopu kojeg smo od prvog predavanja održanog u srpnju 2013. do danas imali čast i zadovoljstvo našim pokretačima startup projekata i široj zainteresiranoj javnosti kao predavače i mentore u više navrata dovoditi mnoge domaće i međunarodne stručnjake, kako bi svoja iskustva prenijeli našoj poduzetničkoj zajednici.
Ovogodišnje događanje omogućava HAMAG BICRO – Hrvatska agencija za malo gospodarstvo i investicije, tako što finacira put i smještaj gostiju predavača. Ovaj put u toj će se ulozi pojaviti Mirena Bagur, osnivačica CONTeXO Grupe u kojoj vodi tim stučnjaka s područja visokih tehnologija, zdravstvenih tehnologija i startupa te Winfried Burke, suosnivač iGetBettera, ujedno i član MIT Mentor Smart programa, fokusiranog na mentoriranje odabranih startupova.
Tijekom interaktivne prezentacije (The Entrepreneurs’ Dilemma: have an idea, now what?) Mirene i Winfrieda, polaznici Master Classa će moći saznati više o tome kako najbolje uklopiti vlastitu kompaniju u najpogodnije okruženje (“Which ecosystem to choose?”), gdje pronaći izvore financiranja za početak ili poboljšanje rada (“Where is the money?”), kao i priliku učiti iz direktnog primjera (case study) startupa koji je nedavno prodan jednom tehnološkom gigantu, a prvotno je financiran od strane poslovnih anđela.
Veliku podršku ovoj inicijativi pruža i Veleposlanstvo Sjedinjenih Američkih Država u Zagrebu, koje je osiguravalo i financijsku podršku u prvom ciklusu predavanja, a podršku također pruža i Europska poduzetnička mreža (een.hr), čiji je ZIP partner, a sve s ciljem omogućavanja ambicioznim i inovativnim malim i srednjim poduzećima da ostvare rast i internacionaliziraju poslovanja.
Vjerujemo da će Master Class donijeti mnogo novih i korisnih informacija, kao i dati odgovore na pitanja koja muče pokretače startupa.
Predavanje će se održati na engleskom jeziku, a prijave su moguće putem sustava Entrio.
Mirena Bagur, Founder, The CONTeXO Group
Mirena Bagur founded The CONTeXO Group in 2005, where she leads a team of technology, health tech, and start-up experts, in working with a wide variety of technology-inspired companies. In addition to executing business development and marketing programs for clients, CONTeXO advises clients on business strategy and product development execution, making it possible to position them for early-stage funding.
Passionate about innovation, Mirena is active in the Boston technology and start-up ecosystem. She has been a Board/Advisory Board member of The Capital Network; sits on the health tech steering committee at the MIT Enterprise Forum; and has been a reviewer, judge and mentor at various business competitions including the MIT 100K, Simmons College, and MassChallenge Accelerator. In addition, as the Course Co-director of the joint Harvard-MIT Division of Health, Sciences, and Technology course HST.921 “Enabling Technology Innovation in Health Care System and the Life Sciences,” she has developed curriculum and managed execution of academic program and real-world innovation projects with graduate students.
Prior to this, Mirena held a management role, as a senior vice president at Weber Shandwick, a leading global marketing communications agency. She was chosen to lead national-level initiatives designed to elevate Weber Shandwick’s brand and to increase visibility in new markets (technology start-ups and healthcare businesses, boomers’ market) as well as in new geographies, resulting in numerous referrals and revenue increase.
Mirena holds a bachelor’s degree in international trade and marketing from the University of Zagreb, School of Economics, Croatia, and has completed a strategic business leadership program at Columbia University. She enjoys singing and skiing with family and friends, and is involved in numerous non-profit organizations, including the New England Friends of Croatia.
Win Burke – CEO and Co-Founder of iGetBetter
Win is a serial high-tech entrepreneur experienced in building early stage companies. He co-founded iGetBetter, his seventh early stage company, that has developed post-acute care transition software systems for hospitals, and has been its CEO since it was established in February, 2013. His previous experience includes large systems, multi-national and US high tech company operations in product development and product management, marketing, sales, corporate development/M&As and general management. He switched to start-up world, where he led six early-stage companies, five of which had successful exits, including four M&As and one IPO.
Win was most recently CEO of Incentive Targeting, which was sold to Google. Following his degree as an EE/Computer Scientist at MIT, Win began his career as a software engineer, and later became a marketing executive, general manager and CEO.
Win is a member of the MIT Mentor Smart program, focused on providing semester-long mentoring to selected startups.
Win is a PSIA certified part-time ski instructor at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire.
